As a Data Engineer at RideCo, you’ll play a key role in driving this change, helping to build the data foundation that powers our innovative solutions. This is more than a job; it’s a chance to be part of a team leading the charge toward smarter, faster, and more efficient transit solutions.

Data is the pulse of RideCo’s operations and decision-making, and as a Data Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in building the tools and processes that turn data into actionable insights. Working closely with Project and Operations Managers, you’ll have a hands-on role in designing and optimizing the next-generation, on-demand transit systems. Your work will shape the quality, performance, and success of our clients' services in cities around the world.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • End-to-End Data Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and maintain ETL pipelines that are essential to the success of our data reporting and dashboards. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless data flow and keep stakeholders informed of any changes that may affect data availability.
  • Performance Analysis and Reporting: Create detailed performance reports that cover rider experience, driver efficiency, marketing impact, operating costs, and unit economics. Transform complex business requirements into clear, actionable insights for project and operations teams.
  • Process & Tool Enhancement: Champion improvements to our data processes and tooling. From identifying new analysis and visualization opportunities to introducing cutting-edge ETL tools, you’ll help drive our analytical capabilities forward.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Work with cross-functional teams to drive continuous enhancements in our data strategy and reporting. You’ll collaborate on projects that include building new reports, optimizing database performance, and developing data-centric strategies to meet company objectives.
  • Automation & Efficiency: Seek out opportunities to automate and streamline processes, driving productivity across teams.
  • Data Quality, Security, and Governance: Empower data consumers by designing user-friendly, self-service data tools and promoting best practices in data quality and governance.

Your Toolbox / What You’ll Master: At RideCo, you’ll join a vibrant team that’s pushing the boundaries of on-demand transit. You’ll have the chance to learn and leverage the following tools and technologies, building valuable expertise across:

  • Data Warehousing & Analytics: Redshift, DBT, PostgreSQL, Tableau, Power BI
  • Cloud Computing: AWS (Amazon Web Services)
  • Programming & Scripting: Python, SQL optimization, and data normalization
  • Visualization & Reporting: Tableau, Power BI, Microsoft Excel
  • Development Processes: Agile, Continuous Integration (CI), Jenkins

Qualifications You Bring:

  • 3-5 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or similar roles
  • Strong expertise in SQL and database management
  • Proven experience with Python and building ETL pipelines
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field: Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $75K - $100K + performance-based bonus + stock options
