As an Office Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the office and be the go-to-person for anything related to the office administration. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the office operations and you will also be instrumental in helping to build our company culture. We're looking for an energetic and organized person who excels at tackling new challenges on a daily basis. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Manage office operations and procedures, ensuring a well-organized and efficient work environment
  • Coordinate the purchasing of office supplies, snacks, equipment, ensuring proper stock levels are maintained
  • Ensure efficient use and operation of shared spaces, including kitchen, boardrooms, common areas, storage rooms, etc. This includes appropriate configuration, layout, and maintenance of equipment, supplies, and cleanliness 
  • Implement and maintain office policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors as needed, including those for marketing materials, office supplies, equipment and maintenance, cleaning services, and more
  • Ensure organization and general cleanliness of the office environment 
  • Manage office space planning, including regular seating adjustments
  • As the Social Committee Lead, organize, coordinate, and facilitate all office activities, and events
  • Adjust work schedule to accommodate evenings/weekends as needed for after-hours events and maintenance purposes
  • Support the onboarding of new employees by providing office orientation and serving as RideCo’s cultural ambassador
  • Responsible for timely and efficient incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail, packages, and other items requiring shipping and receiving. Ensure mail is routed to appropriate internal departments
  • Certified, or willing to be certified, member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee
  • Other duties/projects as assigned 

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience as an Office Manager or other relevant administrative support experience, preferably in a start-up environment
  • Post-secondary diploma/certificate in office or business administration or a related discipline preferred 
  • Excellent computer skills, including a high degree of proficiency in Google Suite, and Microsoft Office 
  • Experience handling confidential information and maintaining professionalism in all business areas and interactions 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Strong organizational skills and high level of attention to detail
  • Location: Based in Kitchener- Waterloo, Ontario

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $60K - $70K + stock options
